KNOCK OUT: Jennifer Lopez Covers V Magazine’s Sports Issue

Jennifer Lopez dons boxing garb and reveals a lot of skin for V Magazine’s Spring sports issue. J Lo graces the cover of the glossy’s standard and Spanish editions, which both hit stands tomorrow.

The actress and reality judge poses in several midriff-baring ensembles throughout the Rocky-inspired spread, which was shot by Mario Testino.

The article is timed to coincide with the upcoming debut of Jennifer’s new series Q’Viva. She and ex Marc Anthony are the two lead judges on the Latin-themed TV talent search, and she opens up about the state of their relationship postsplit — as well as why the show’s emphasis on Latin music spoke to her — in the interview. She also touches on her tough side and reflects on her career misses in her chat with fashion journalist Robin Givhan. Here are some highlights:

  • On her relationship with ex Marc Anthony:

“I mean, we’re parents and friends first. That will be the thread that ties us together. I don’t know if people expect it to be negative just because the [intimate] relationship didn’t work out.”

  • On the importance of her Latin roots:

“I tried to keep that close to my heart — what I learned growing up . . . When doing Q’Viva, it was kind of reinforcing that, showing how important it is to me and staying connected to that and showing my kids what that’s all about.”

  • On her films and albums that didn’t perform so well:

“You’re not going to hit the bulls’ eye every time. That’s part of it. . . . I’ve been in the business now, I don’t want to say how many years. You have amazing moments of recognition and success. But at this point in my life, I try to take it all with a grain of salt.”

Jennifer Lopez Gives Vanity Fair Her First Interview Since Announcing Her Divorce from Marc Anthony

“That was my biggest dream, and I really worked hard at it. We both did,” Jennifer Lopez tells Vanity Fair in her first interview since announcing that she and Marc Anthony are divorcing. “Sometimes it doesn’t work—and that’s sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love,” Lopez says. “It’s still my biggest dream. I am positive—determined to move forward with my life, bring up my babies, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person. I now look forward to new challenges. I feel strong.”

Lopez opens up to contributing editor Lisa Robinson about her life with Anthony and the example she hopes to set for her children; she talks about her relationship with P. Diddy and breaking off her engagement to Ben Affleck; she’s honest about the diva rumors that surround her, and shares her attitudes toward money, fame, and especially love.

“I’m a hopeless romantic and passionate person when it comes to love,” Lopez explains, describing the passage that has brought her to her current state of mind.

“It’s not that I didn’t love myself before. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself—if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now.”

“I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer,” Lopez tellsVanity Fair. “We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic—and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children.”

The September issue of Vanity Fair hits newsstands in New York and L.A. on Wednesday, August 3 and nationally and on the iPad on Tuesday, August 9. Visit Vanityfair.com for more.

THE GAME ‘UNCLE OTIS’ DISS RECORD :: Takes shots at Jay-Z, Kreayshawn, Big Sean + More…

This is what I would call an attempted hail mary play or a cry for help. The Game’s got a new CD to sell, but is anyone buying? More importantly, can The Game ever write a record without using someone’s name in it? Take a peep at this story via Vibe.com:

Jay-Z and Kanye West released their highly acclaimed track “Otis” off their upcoming duet album Watch The Throne just two days ago, and already there’s a diss track against it.

The Game decided to take shots at, well, everyone on the track that he calls “Uncle Otis”. “

“Heres a dome shot to this nigga named Otis/Niggas think they the coldest, but nigga you just the oldest/Niggas be chasing they youth, but it’s gone/ ‘Ye this nigga aint even want to put you on

He raps in the opening verse of the track. From the looks of it, Hov seems like the main target of the diss.

New female rapper Kreayshawn also got a line thrown at her for the recent controversy involving her use of the N-word.

He raps “And I don’t wear no Fendi Fendi Gucci Gucci Prada Prada/I’m Charles Louboutin, you niggas aint saying nada/Little white bitch betta stay in ya place/Call me a nigga, Imma put the K in ya face!”

We could continue on about his disses to Marc AnthonyBig Sean, and Tyler, The Creator, but we’d rather you hear it yourself

Check out Game’s new diss below:

[UPDATE: THE GAME SPEAKS TO XXL MAGAZINE RE: HOV DISS]

“It’s poking jokes and taking shots, but that’s what I do,” he said.

“Anybody that takes it personal, they really shouldn’t but if you do, we can go there,” he added.

IT’S OVER!! :: Jennifer Lopez x Marc Anthony call it quits!

Say it isn’t so?!?!

After seven years of marriage, it’s over for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.

“We have decided to end our marriage,” they tell People Magazine in a joint statement. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.”

“It is a painful time for all involved,” the statement continues, “and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”

Lopez, 41, and Anthony, 42, married in June 2004 in a casual – and secret – ceremony at Lopez’s Beverly Hills home.  They have two children together.

This will be Jennifer’s THIRD divorce — she was first married in 1997 to Ojani Noa, and again in 2001 to her backup dancer Cris Judd. This will be Marc’s second divorce.

Marc and JLo renewed their vows just last year on their 6th anniversary — and back in May, they gave a steamy performance together on the season finale of  “American Idol.”

I had hopes for these two.  Stay tuned to synamatiq.com for further developments.
