Karl Lagerfeld said, “You cannot buy time but you can get a beautiful watch to measure time without spending a fortune.”
The watch collection boldly represents the designer’s vision translated to modern time pieces. Iconic and edgy, the seven watch platforms are presented in an assortment of colors and sizes, offering the ultimate in fashion versatility. One of the most unique pieces in the collection is the “Karl Zip,” Lagerfeld’s favorite silhouette. The Zip embodies everything that is Karl Lagerfeld with irreverent design and enduring appeal. The exposed zipper is fully functional and does more than lure the eye—you can wear this runway-ready style as multiple accessories. Stand out features within the collection include; stainless steel bracelets, luxe metallic leathers, pyramid studs and bold chains. Another collection highlight is the “Karl 7” named after Lagerfeld’s favorite number and surrounded by a beveled top ring that achieves a sleek and modern look uncharacteristic of traditional watch designs.
Retail price points will range from $150 – $595 USD. (Via…)
The iconic Land Rover Defender is perfect in stock form, but it’s always nice to see what a good customizer can do when they get their hands on it.
The team at Kahn Design have just completed their Land Rover Defender Harris Tweed Edition, and this is the perfect example of applying some nice luxury touches to the vehicle while still keeping the rugged feel intact. The vehicle features an interior that is completely customized with hand woven virgin wool paired with a piano black wood dash and matching black quilted leather with Harris Tweed inserts. The exterior has been customized to the nines as well, completely blacked out for the most part and finished off with as set of 18 inch 1983 Defender alloy wheels. [Via]
We don´t feature concept vehicles very often, only if we come across something truly spectacular. Today we feature the Lamborghini Perdigon Concept by Ondrej Jirec, a final year Transport Design student at the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California. The car is inspired by several jet fighters, the most visible of those cues is the large air intake mounted just below the windscreen. (Via…)
First debuting in 1971, Lamborghini‘s famed Countach quickly became every red-blooded male’s dream car upon its release. Jim Chan happened to be one of those guys growing up but he managed to turn his fantasy into reality when he finally acquired a pristine example. The owner of Axis Wheels, producer of some of the finest rims around, Chan is a petrol-head through and through so it comes as no surprise then that he gladly met up with the crew from Petrolicious to talk about his newly acquired supercar and show off its beautiful angular bodywork. Honest in his appraisal of the car, Jim waxes lyrical about the beauty of the car before going on to mention its complete lack of ergonomics and everyday usability. That being said, the car has to be one of the most beautiful ever produced and Chan’s affection for the car is contagious. Check the video for a fantastically well shot tribute to a legendary vehicle and enjoy the soundtrack which is heavy on the V-12 notes. (Via…)
